Leaptrott.
|
 |
Pledge of
Allegiance led by Joe
Leaptrott. |
 |
The treasurer's
report was presented by Gerry Lukach. |
Old Business
 |
David Moody stated
that he is still awaiting a phone call from WJCT radio concerning
advertising for the club. |
 |
Joe Leaptrott
asked Eyal Wirsansky about the correct way to send him photos for
the on-line virtual museum. Eyal suggested a number of different
ways, including CD, setting up an FTP site, etc. He also suggested
that the club set up a Facebook site. |
New Business
 |
Andy Rood suggested that the club contribute
$50.00 or so to help defray the cost of the annual cook-out. The
decision was made to write a $50.00 check from the club treasury. |
Publicity Report
 |
There was no
publicity report, as Sean Olin was away on business. |
Show and Tell
 |
Phil Bliss
installed his home-brew radio with the "space-charged" tubes into
the cabinet of the Intercom unit that he had won in a previous donor
auction, and brought it to show. He also brought an adapter that he
had made to use inexpensive 1Q5 tubes in place of expensive WD-11
tubes. Finally, Phil asked if anyone had any reproduction
instruction cards to fit into the lid of an Ariola or Radiola III. |
 |
Phil Baker brought
a Heathkit signal tracer that he had bought from Fred Geer. |
 |
Gerry Lukach
brought a home-brew variac that would work with either AC or DC
voltages. (Currently, though, the bridge rectifier is bad, so it
now only works with AC.) He also brought a 1946 Philco table radio
with a built-in slot-loading phono that he had won with a $10.49
e-Bay bid. |
Raffle of Donation Items
The only donor auction item was a clock radio.
